Serious collision causes blizzards*

*(From the "Man bites Dog" school of headlines)
This description of an article from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences presents the thesis that continental drift, specifically the collision of India with Eurasia, capped a voluminous source of CO2 and triggered atmospheric cooling.

Is it always all about CO2? So it would seem, at least for now.

Looks to me like we will have to increase CO2 emissions in order to restore the earth to its natural state.

So continental drift isnt a natural geological process now?

C'mon Half, that's just utterly nonsensical...

PKD, I note that irony is not your strong suit.

Well, if you were trying to be ironic, then I'd say your sense of irony thats at fault! :)

PKD I think you just proved his point.

Nah not really.

Good irony is Peter Garrett landing the environment job. But each to their own i guess...
